Question
Answer
He did—did not do a thing within Himself until God showed Him a vision of what was being done. That’s His own Word, Saint John 5:19. “Verily, verily I say unto you, the Son can do nothing in Himself, but what He sees the Father doing: that doeth the Son likewise. And He will show you greater things that this, that you may marvel.” In other words, that man healed was diabetic, or prostate trouble, or whatever it was… Now, watch when He went for that one man. He’d had a vision. Look at Him when Lazarus died. When He knowed Lazarus was going to die, He went away from the city. They sent for Him; He went another day’s journey. They sent for Him; He went another day’s journey. And then one day, He stopped, when He knowed the vision was just about fulfilled, and said, “Well, our friend Lazarus sleepeth.” And the disciples said, “He doeth well.” He said, “He’s dead. And for your sake, I’m glad I wasn’t there. But I go wake Him.” Amen. What? God had showed Him what was going to take place, showed Him what was going to take place. “I go wake Him.” When Martha come and met Him on the road coming, she said, “If Thou had been here, Lord, Thy…my brother would not have died; but even now, whatever You ask God, God will do it.” See? Jesus knew that He was going to wake Lazarus, for God had already showed Him. And He didn’t do nothing but what the Father showed Him to do. Is that right? That’s His Own Word.
