Question

What did Jesus mean when He said the Son does nothing of Himself?

Answer

Walked right on over, and the man wasn’t too bad. He’d had maybe a prostate trouble or something, for about thirty-eight years. He was laying on a pallet. Jesus healed him. Then walked right on out of the building. Mmm. And they said He was full of love and compassion. His love wasn’t…It was to the Father. And as the Father would permit, He would do. He said the same thing in the 19th verse, you know. He said, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, the Son does nothing in Himself. But what He sees the Father doing, that doeth the Son likewise.” In other words, He does just what the Father shows Him. Now, if the Father tonight… Now, I believe as far as your healing, the Father has already got that in His glory tonight. Yeah. ’Cause He, when He gave Jesus, that purchased your healing.
