Question

What did Jesus mean when He said believers would do greater works than He did?

Answer

Now, if Jesus rose from the dead and is living in the church today, then He’ll do just the things that He did then, for, “The…” He said, “The things that I do shall you do also; and greater than this…” Not greater in quality, ’cause it couldn’t have been. He stopped nature, and raised the dead. “But more than this shall you do; for I go to My Father.” The church is spread all over the world, where He could only be in one place. “More than this shall you do; the things that I do shall you also.” That’s the very things that He did. And more, greater, because it’ll spread all over the world; and the Gospel would go to all the world, demonstrate the power of the Holy Ghost, “and these signs shall follow them that believe.”
