Is lying or stealing itself sin, or is sin something else?
Answer
Now, sin is not just moral habits you know. Some things, a lot of them say, “Well, this man smokes, that’s a sin.” No, it ain’t. It ain’t a smoke…for him to lie. It ain’t—it ain’t no sin for him to lie, for him to steal. That’s not sin. That’s the attributes of sin. That…he does that because he’s a sinner. If he wasn’t a sinner he wouldn’t do that. But because he’s a sinner, he does that.
