Question

According to James 5:14, whose duty is it to pray for the sick?

Answer

“Go ye and sin no more, or a worse thing come upon you.” Jesus said, “Which is it easier do? Say thy sins be forgiven thee, or take up thy bed and walk”? It’s all on the same. And so I believe in James 5:14, said, “If any among you are sick, let them call the elders of the church; let them anoint them in oil and pray over them. The prayer of faith shall save the sick, if they’ve done any sin, it shall be forgiven them. Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that you may be healed.” That’s the duty of every Christian minister. Every minister of the Gospel has a right to pray for his congregation, and they have a right to believe God and be healed. Divine healing doesn’t belong to one man or one group. It belongs to all the people. The gift of healing was not given, to be sent out to have different healing campaigns across the country. It’s all right for them to be, but that isn’t the purpose. There ought to be a healing campaign in every church, all the time, going on everywhere.
