Question

How did 'Only Believe' become the theme song of Brother Branham's campaigns?

Answer

Don’t forget to pray for me. And when you’re…when you’re praying, and whenever you think of me, sing, “Only Believe,” will you. That’s my favorite song. It’s a… Paul Rader wrote that song. Paul Rader was a friend of mine. And I just come into the church one night it was being played. I didn’t even know that he wrote the song. And right immediately after the Angel of the Lord had visit me. And something just struck me. And ever since then, it’s been the campaign theme song, “Only Believe.” If I shall go and have to be buried before Jesus comes, it’s arranged that when I go down beneath the dirt, why, that they’re going to sing “Only Believe, all things are possible.” If you hear of me going that hour, will you just stop somewhere and remember me? Hum to yourself, “Only Believe.” For I believe that someday that I shall come out again.
