Question
Answer
A minister, your pastor, could read it here in the Scripture. If you’d believe it, that’s all it takes. Main thing is, your personal faith is His merits of salvation for your soul or healing for your body. The prophet said, “He was wounded for our transgression; with His stripes we were healed.” And now, “Faith cometh by hearing, hearing of the Word of God.” First you have to hear. And where it comes from, the resource it comes from, then you base your faith upon that, and that—according to your faith, then it’s done for you. And now, that has been the order of the church for many, many years. Nineteen hundred years, this blissful thing has been taught in all Christian churches: praying for the sick. The early apostolic church prayed for the sick. All down through the age and to the dark age, they prayed for the sick. In the reformation, Luther, they prayed for the sick. In the days of Wesley, they prayed for the sick. Calvin, Knox, Moody, Sankey, all along, we’ve prayed for the sick.
