Question

What did David foresee when he said God would not suffer His Holy One to see corruption?

Answer

I think of David, when he was getting old. Being a great king that he was, God had swore to him, according to the fruits of his loins he would raise up Christ to sit on His right hand. Then I see David, when he was old, getting down to the end of his road, and all the physical strength was just about gone. He said, “Moreover, my flesh shall rest in hope, because He will not suffer His Holy One to see corruption; neither will He leave His soul in hell.” He foresaw Jesus, the resurrection of Christ; and knowing that His body would not stay in the dust of the earth, but it would rise again.
